Fortismere vs Highgate Wood

We are from the US. We moved here 4 months ago and my son started in year 7 at HWS. I kept him on the waiting list for Fortismere as I had heard so many good things about it. We have now been offered a spot at Fortimere and are more than undecided on what to do!
I feel like the just going by the online rating is not going to help us make the right decision.

He is happy at HWS and just starting to settle in. I have not had a lot of interaction with the school. We live a nice 13 min walk away from the school and the setting is quite beautiful.
The commute to Fortismere would be somewhat longer and more complicated as I wouldn't want him to navigate on his own just yet and I have two other smaller children to get to different schools.
Generally he is not against switching school yet again. He is academically extremely conscientious and therefore wants to be at the better school himself. The curriculum at both schools sound similar.

We cannot decide if the difference between the two schools warrants the extra organizational complication. I wish someone could just tell me wether Fortismere is way better or not.

Any input would be appreciated.

if he is happy at HWS why not leave him there?
Fortismere rests on its reputation, but then it only gets those fab A level results by weeding out the weaker pupils at 16.

Does Fortisemere get the good results, or is it the tutors that get the good results...?

Take a deep breath and step away from the NW London school parental competition Wink.

I think we have decided he will stay at HWS. Super tough decision. Was very disappointed that Fortismere would not even let us come tour the school in order to make an informed decision. Ultimately we are sticking with the school know we like, hoping that it will carry on with its upward trend and will end up being an equally good alternative to Fortismere.
