Blimey, do 16-yr-olds own these things? Shock I am picturing the hilarity if we suggested DSS (16) dresses in such attire Grin. In fact, I may suggest it just for the reaction.

Is this a public school interview? If so, probably the suit Confused but only because blue blazer and grey flannel trousers sounds very school uniform to me. I really can't imagine the local college expecting either of these options.

Fire around here all the sixth forms expect their pupils to wear smart business dress every day. So a suit would not be unexpected.

Current school uniform would be the norm I think. But otherwise a suit- no one under 78 wears a blazer these days surely?

Oh and I confirm suits are "uniform" for sixth forms round these parts

Depends on the dress code of the potential school I would have thought. DS's school is business suits for 6th form but doesn't interview anyway. However, I don't think anyone there would be expecting potential students to turn up in a suit for the interview. I think any non-jean trousers and a smart shirt would be fine.

My DDs both wore school uniform. Just an aside, blue blazer and grey trousers is not a good colour combination. Blue blazer and stone chinos would be better. Or wear a suit. Hope he does well OP.

Depends - DD did hers in school Uniform (because she was going on to or coming from school), but the Sixth formers wear pretty much whatever they want. So Jeans and a top would have been fine.

Dd2 did hers (for sixth form college) in her school uniform, mostly because she went straight from school.

Otherwise, something along the lines of whatever the other school's sixth form dress code says.
