Windsor Boys School

Hi there has anyone any views as to the progress being made at Windsor Boys School following the new head's appointment and the Grade 3 Ofsted rating a few years ago... We are very keen to send our 3 boys there as it has historically been so great - and both my brother and dad went there... we are hoping that the recent bad grading was a blip but would be very interested to hear any views...

You don't have a lot of choice in Windsor, so you may just have to suck up the quality of Windsor boys. They won't be able to get into Charters, so unless they go private (not that there's a lot of choice for boys) or to one of the Slough grammars at 11+, it's Windsor Boys.

thanks... we've got a couple of years but missed grammar school thing with my eldest who's in yr 6 now. will have to keep fingers crossed for next year and consider the limited private options as back up. Any ideas when next Ofsted due?!

I've got friends who rave about it. Rowing huge and boys doing very well academically. I'd go visit as I've heard very good things recently.

thank you it's a tricky one as currently we in catchment for a Marlow grammar school - but I'm not loving living in this area and my family are all in Windsor. But that's just me and I have 3 intelligent boys to consider... We are just about to exchange on house in Windsor and I'm having heeby jeebies! Maybe I just stay here knowing Windsor is down the road!!!

If it's a choice of Sir William Borlase or Windsor Boys, then it's a no brainee - Borlase.
