LEH - Uniform

I know that, as LEH is a private school, uniform and stationary will be very expensive but we don't know how much.

You will be pleasantly surprised. The uniform is definitely NOT expensive by indie standards. Have you seen the girls in their uniform? It's very low key indeed for a independent school. No blazers, or special coats, or hats, or branded knitwear. Any black or dark coat, any school bag.

They wear basic school logo sweatshirts which are £12 each from Len Smiths in Twickenham, over a white shirt and a grey skirt, with black tights and shoes. The sports kit racks up a bit but they wear it all a lot, so it's well used.

Not sure what you mean by expensive stationery either - every 11 year old needs their parents to buy them pens, rulers, protractors etc. There's no branded folders or anything. They can use any school bag of their choice to carry it all in too. A calculator and a lacrosse stick gets added to the bill but at a reasonable bulk-bought price.

All the uniform is listed on the stevensons school uniform website so you can tot it all up.

Oh really? Wow! That is much cheaper than i thought... Thank you very much sybilwibble !

I heard as a rumour that LEH is going to change uniform to blazers. Is this true? How much will a blazer cost if we have to buy one?
Also, on the Stevensons website, it doesn't tell you the price of the uniform...

Hi you can def see prices on stevensons if you register with your email address. Anyone can do this. Rumours about updating the uniform still just that at this stage. Rumours. No specifics. Think a blazer is unlikely...

Thank you very much. When I tried to register, it also asks for Full Address and Mobile Number as well as my email. Is it truly safe to write it in?

yes, fine. You don't have to buy anything right away, but are set up for when you do. I am guessing you will need to register anyway if your dd is going to be a pupil? It's really useful to pre-order, make a fitting appointment, arrange deliveries etc, so in your interests to do so.
