Are my child's grades ok?

I honestly have no idea if her grades are good or poor anymore. I had just gotten used to the whole 1c 1b 1a ect. system when they throw letters at me and i have no clue how it works. My daughter is in year 8 and is a C+ in english, a C in maths and a E- in science. Is that ok or is she behind?

If they are trying to emulate the current GCSE system of grading then the government thinks the majority of children should be at grade C or above in 5 subjects including maths, English and science. But every child is an individual and a C grade in anything would be a miracle for my ds.
I would imagine you would want to talk to her science teacher about anything she could be doing to help her get to grips with the subject as there's a disparity between that and the other subjects.
