Anyone else waiting for offers day - March 2nd here?

We have put an out of catchment school as first choice. Second choice is our catchment school. Some years we would get into our first choice, some years we would not. So we are anxiously awaiting the email...

Essex came in overnight too

A friend found out at lunchtime that her child hadn't got a place at R, because the school published the cut-off scores (music, academic, distance) on their website before any emails had gone out!

Good luck to Londoners still waiting. Did it last year - heard around 6pm.

rich and others not receiving first preference; we were initially allocated 3rd preference. Fine but not ideal. No real grounds for appeal so remained on waiting list for 1st preference.

DS now attends 1st preference.

Three things 1) the word choice is bandied about - there is little choice for the majority of us - often a case of lesser of many evils - so don't beat yourself up. 2) Things move and change a lot over spring and summer - it is a period of uncertainty but often does work out. 3) ignore the 'I got my first preference' gloaters on the playground - there are always a few that cannot help but rub it in your face. Be strong!

I'm In Herts and very surprisingly got my email at 3.41 pm. DD got 1st Place. Over the moon is not enough to express how I feel! Its an Outstanding girls school that gets fantastic results and with amazing facilities. Cannot quite believe it just yet :)

Stiiill waiting. Its making me paranoid. Even though I can see online the application was recieved. None of my friends have added anything on fb though so hopefully that is a good thing. (Dorset here)

I'm in Dorset and got my email at 9am. All dd1's friends are messaging each other about which schools they got into as well.

Are you Bournemouth or Poole boroughs rather than DCC?

Dcc. Ah crap. Thats not great then. Hmm will wait tonight and contact them tomorrow if I dont here anything.

FCL Yeah. I can log in but there is no 'view outcome' button near ds's name.

. Maybe they're doing different geographical areas in order . If they're doing their job properly, they should ensure everybody's heard by the end of today anyway.

Hope it all works out and you get good news for ds.

In London. First choice - at the 7th most oversubscribed non-selective school in the UK.
