We have put an out of catchment school as first choice. Second choice is our catchment school. Some years we would get into our first choice, some years we would not. So we are anxiously awaiting the email...

Glos appeared on the website at midnight, as advertised - email for us at 00:54, 50 mins after I'd accepted the place. First choice, very happy. Some really bad outcomes for some friends though, some really unexpected. We've had two years of admissions working quite well, and it seems to have come unstuck this year. Sad

Sarahdeany · 02/03/2015 17:36

I'm in the westminster borough of london and haven't found out yet :( never been so nervous in my life plus it's my daughters birthday so we really really need good news

Anyone in my borough found out yet?

Sarahdeany · 02/03/2015 17:38

Where in London are you?

Champagnecharleyismyname · 02/03/2015 17:39

We got second choice, I am ok but I know DD will be disappointed. No e mail yet, I logged on the website.

slicedfinger · 02/03/2015 17:40

London - got our first choice. Hurrah!

AnneOfCleavage · 02/03/2015 17:41

Got 1st choice school for DD and am delighted even though I had resigned myself to the fact that if she got 2nd or 3rd I would have thought Fate was telling me something and probably would have accepted it.

Glad I didn't have to make that decision in the end though.

Sorry to hear some are still waiting. So nailbiting Sad

Quick question though:

How come lots of you got an email to say which place you'd been offered? We had to log in with a password off our own bat to find out (with fear of the site crashing with everyone else doing the same) but will also get a letter sent to us by Wed. Couldn't wait until Wed though.

Got Graveney which I am pleased about. DD still holding out for Lady Margaret, so will have to see about the waiting list in the morning. Phew, though!

slicedfinger · 02/03/2015 17:41

Sarah we're Richmond, but I think the whole London thing is done together. It will just take a wee while for the data to trickle through. I didn't have an e-mail, but logged on, and it was there.

HHH3 · 02/03/2015 17:45

I went to Lady Margaret many moons ago Grin

mirjon66 · 02/03/2015 17:46

I am in one of the London Boroughs, DD got first choice, I checked online at 5.01 and the offer was there. Still not got an e-mail. DD now worried about her friends.

yomellamoHelly · 02/03/2015 18:00

Yay! We got out first choice (even if it's not everyone else's!). Logged into eadmissions after reading this thread. Email not come yet. Thanks for the tip.

CheekyBanana · 02/03/2015 18:09

I'm neither happy nor sad. Just humphing silent in the corner.

Huge thanks to Tiggy; you have been kind and generous with your time and knowledge. I really do appreciate it at it's kept my neurosis somewhat at bay.

'So near, yet so far' is my cry - two measly points away from lowest allocated score. Still while I'm hopeful for a waiting list place, my wait and frustration continue. There'll be no appeal from me - it is what it is. As other seem to be in this position of limbo, does anyone feel it's worth starting a separate thread? A 'subs bench', if you will, for support, info and updates separate from this general one and the appeals thread. Just a thought.

wandymum · 02/03/2015 18:10

Anyone know what the cut off score for Graveney was this year?

Buttercups2 · 02/03/2015 18:16

Anyone know what the cut off score for Newstead was this year? Or is there a website I can find out on?
Daughter passed both Bromley & Bexley 11+ but no grammar place offered!

Got 3rd choice!!!!!

Flossiechops · 02/03/2015 18:18

Cheeky I'm so sorry you didn't get the result that you wanted - what a stressful time Sad
I knew of a child 0.2 miles away from me who hadn't got in prior to me getting my email - it seems dd only just scraped in on distance. There were lots of upset yr 6 children in the play ground this morning. All the best with moving forward & I so hope he gets the school he wants xx

TeddTess · 02/03/2015 18:23

that parent comms app is crap... still nothing on it. the result was on the eadmissions website at 5.01
no email though...

NotTheKitchenAgainPlease · 02/03/2015 18:26

London here and the results are on the eadmissions website. Good luck to you all.

CheekyBanana · 02/03/2015 18:30

Thanks for that Flossie. My sympathies to others who are also disappointed, but yes it's still early days and a lot can change before September. I'm now smoking on the Subs Bench while I wait. Last year allocations went down 8 points before September, but I'll call first choice school tomorrow and pray that there isn't a large cluster with the same points or more.

Either way, it'll be a long wait, so I have wine, chocs, cake and sweets for the duration. Comfort eating? Me?? Nah - just another sugar-filled day Chez Moi. Ds is in sweet oblivion and playing his Xbox, so yes, life goes on and all will be well.

minifingers · 02/03/2015 18:31

Anyone else got Kingsdale?

motorwaymadness · 02/03/2015 18:33

We got our first place choice.. AND DD was thrilled with it (which are the first two big hurdles) now we just have to sort out the transport.

Mollymoo251207 · 02/03/2015 18:35

We are in Stockport and found out by letter on Saturday which was a surprise as we were told we would be informed by email. Today, my dd1s offer was on the online system but no email as yet. We have to return our form accepting the place by post- as she got first choice in a heavily oversubscribed school I took it to the LEA myself, couldn't risk it getting lost!
Lots of disappointed parents at school today. It's so stressful, I really sympathise with those that are now in limbo.

MrsCornish · 02/03/2015 18:47

Grin got first choice! giddy with glee

FryOneFatManic · 02/03/2015 18:51

We got the place we wanted for DS, at DD's school. My friend got the places she wanted for her two.

I got an email in the early hours and saw it when I got up.

Apparently, we don't need to do anything if we accept the offer, only take action if we want to appeal.
