We have put an out of catchment school as first choice. Second choice is our catchment school. Some years we would get into our first choice, some years we would not. So we are anxiously awaiting the email...

Where can you see it online? I've not got my email yet o(

kateclarke · 02/03/2015 00:29

I haven't got an e mail, logged in at the same place that I did when I applied

Daisychain5 · 02/03/2015 00:36

Phew, found ours and we've got first choice o))))

TickleMyTitsTillFriday · 02/03/2015 01:03

In Devon here and the website is down. Feeling sick as only put one choice down...

letch · 02/03/2015 01:13

I'm happy - We have got our first choice school (and already accepted it!). My daughter is going to be so pleased when she wakes up!

stilllearnin · 02/03/2015 01:38

Oh lost my post. We didn't get any of our choices. Dd's teacher says they'll go round the class tomorrow saying what school they got into so I think we'll go for a walk in the woods - I could do with working. Dp says it'll give her time to reflect - haven't got a clue what he means. Appeal, waiting lists, and HE for us. She won't go to the local school as her brother got beaten up 3 times in the 8 days he was there. He's great where he is now but the sibling link is v low down.

We applied for high school from overseas using UK permanent address (definitely returning to our house in Aug 15 at the end of DH's contract) as advised by first preference academy, and LA, then once we'd applied, we were told the application wouldn't be considered. Feel super let down by the system and annoyed at being incorrectly advised, but keeping fingers crossed that a place is available in either our first (unlikely as over subscribed) or second preference school when we get back to our house. Not sure if we'll get a letter rejecting our application, or if we are even able to go on a waiting list, with us being temporarily abroad. Post takes about a week to get here, so a little longer to wait and see where we stand...

LocalEditorEssex · 02/03/2015 05:46

Email came in at 12.18am so pleased I didn't see it until the alarm woke me up.

Dd has been offered her first choice. I am so pleased!
I just know she will get some crap today from the girls in her class who are not very nice to her but come August she doesn't need to see them anymore :)

Hope everyone else is happy and those who are not are able to appeal.

Flossiechops · 02/03/2015 05:49

Still waiting in Birmingham! Congratulations to all who got what they wanted Smile

MrsFruitcake · 02/03/2015 06:01

Still waiting in Hampshire.

I've been awake half the night and feel like crap. Worrying about the result.

First choice is out of catchment but does take pupils from DDs school, just not many of them. Journey is 30 minutes away by bus at a cost of £70 per month.

Second choice is catchment and if she goes there she'll get her transport allocated (taxi to and from school due to the location of our house) but the school is under-performing and has a terrible rep for bullying. I don't want her to go there.

Hoping HCC don't keep us waiting all day!

minifingers · 02/03/2015 06:04

Nothing here in London yet. Been up since 4.30...

MrsFruitcake · 02/03/2015 06:10

Results just in in Hampshire - DD got a place in her first choice...whoa, that was a rush! She's up and downstairs drinking tea with a big grin on her face now.

JugglingLife · 02/03/2015 06:22

Still waiting in birmingham too, good luck everybody.

mankyscotslass · 02/03/2015 06:31

WE got our first preference. [happy]

Good luck to those still waiting.

youarekiddingme · 02/03/2015 06:41

DS got his first choice Grin

MirandaWest · 02/03/2015 07:11

Can't log in to York until 10am (when emails will come). Did just check but still firmly shut.

CheekyBanana · 02/03/2015 07:13

Awww Flossie, I was hoping you'd been celebrating having received good news. Not long now though. Hopefully.

Congrats to all who've heard, kept overnight vigil and can finally breathe in relief.

I'm treating myself to waffles and maple syrup for today's breakfast. Grin

Champagnecharleyismyname · 02/03/2015 07:14

Does anyone in Surrey know yet?

cagsd · 02/03/2015 07:16

We sat there refreshing the admissions website from about 9pm then at a minute to midnight it suddenly changed from "offers published 2nd March" to "View Offers"! I bottled it and couldn't look, but dh clicked straight on it and we found out ds has been offered first choice school. So delighted and relieved, a massive weight off my mind!
Now we only have to go through this one more time with ds3!!!

cagsd · 02/03/2015 07:16

Meant to add, good job we were checking the website and not waiting for an email, cos just looked at emails this morning and it didn't come in till nearly 2am!

TheySaidThat · 02/03/2015 07:31

Devon website still down, I can't believe they've not fixed it yet. Twitter says emails will be sent between 7:30 and 9 this morning. I've hardly slept.

Congrats to those who have their wanted places. Absolute comisserations to those who do not. :(

TickleMyTitsTillFriday · 02/03/2015 07:34

Ooh 7 and 9 is not that bad They!

TickleMyTitsTillFriday · 02/03/2015 07:37

Where did you see that on twitter? Was it DCC?

CaptainHolt · 02/03/2015 07:39

Just had email from Derbyshire. They said it would be sent at 9.30 but it came a few minutes ago.
