Bedes Senior School in Hailsham Sussex?

Any views on Bedes Senior?? I hear amazing things about Bedes Prep but I am unsure about the senior school. Is it too big? Hard to settle in due to large contingency of overseas kids/boarders? Considering sending DS there, he has aspergers and ADHD and id bright and quirky but he can not stand pressure and is very unconfident socially and immature emotionally. Any views on the senior school would really help!

DS1 is there, in L6th and loves it. It's transformed him from the dorky kid who joined in Y9. Overseas contingent is kept to a level where it doesn't overwhelm. He has a friend with Aspergers who's been handled magnificently by the school (I obv can't go into detail, you could PM me?)

Hello, I wonder if anyone out there can help me? I am considering Bedes Senior school for my son. Currently we are at school in Tunbridge Wells but looking at two senior schools in East Sussex. Both quite different in size and approach. I wondered if anyone has an experience of Bedes. My son is quite shy, likes his sport, is quite average and I am desperate to find what makes him tick!. Initially we thought a small school would suit him but we have been very impressed with the facilities and offerings of Bedes. I know they operate a house system whereby the houses are like mini schools within the school and I wondered how well this works? I was very sad to see that Doctor Maloney was leaving as he had been one of the reasons we were keen on the school, but I am sure they will replace him with a suitable heavyweight. Any comments would be very much appreciated.

I know this is an old thread, but was wondering if anyone had experience of Bede's senior school. DD is very bright and very anxious and shy needs good, stimulating teaching but a less pressured school environment. Not sure such a place exists! I am not overly fussed about exam results building her confidence to tackle life is more important (and probably a more important life skill). All thoughts welcome!
