Thanks hellsbells for the info on Bath going to ring them later see if we can get a night stay there and department/campus tour.

Mumslife- hope the meds work for her and she don't need to end up back to square one looking for the cause

Littleham · 20/03/2015 10:30

I've stayed at Bath. The accommodation is great.

Mumslife - as the headaches come and go, have you tried keeping a headache diary in case it is related to hormones? Worth having a carbon monoxide alarm (unlikely but it does happen).

Lots of revision this week - I think Both DDs are finally starting to panic! Also looking at booking open days for DD2 (year 12) for June/July and so the madness starts again....

My dd's school are putting on lots of extra classes - she now has a Saturday morning one as well. I had just sorted out a tutor for her too - dd is now saying she thinks it's not necessary, it will all be covered by school. But I think I'd rather too much than too little intervention. But obv don't want to stress her out... Or have her ending up spending too much time on one subject to the detriment of the others.
I am so ready for this to all be finished with

polkadottyme · 22/03/2015 10:17

decorhatethink it's a good idea if you can get a extra tutor, at least her work will be marked on time; get feedback analysis and technique specific to your dd. Is only for few more months she will be glad she had the tutor. We thinking of getting one too dd has had this stand in teacher for a month now, dd work hasn't been marked for last 3 weeks, So frustrating.

Fairenuff · 22/03/2015 11:40

hellsbells I hadn't even thought of that! Ds is going ino Year 12 this year too and I was so focussed on his gcses and dd's A levels and uni, I hadn't really realised that we need to start thinking about him now!! Shock

Are you going to open days this summer or next year? With dd we did it in the summer of Year 12.

Dd is on track to get the results she needs. All she has to do is hold her nerve and not make terrible mistakes on the day. Also her driving instructor says it's now time to book the test so she has that to get through next. So much going on at the moment!

She has firmed Southampton and insured Exeter. Finance forms will be the next job.

Thanks mumslife I will see if dd wants to get on with it this afternoon. Get it out of the way.

hellsbells99 · 22/03/2015 17:19

Fairenuff - DD2 is in year12 now so we will be doing open days this summer - although she was dragged round a few last year with DD1. She is looking at a different subject/s though so we will be going to some universities that were not an option for DD1.

NiceCardigan · 22/03/2015 18:52

DS is just about to book his driving test as well Fairenuff as you say so much going on. Still battling with History coursework here will be glad when it's done.

DD2 has two pieces of History coursework as well. Luckily one piece was finished a while ago and has been marked. She is slogging through the second piece.

Horsemad · 22/03/2015 21:51

Thinking of you mumslife.

AmazingDisgrace, I asked DS if he could sit in on the AS lessons but his timetable clashes so that's not possible.

His first lesson with tutor went well, so I'm hoping that continues! Smile
