Possible to get into private secondary from a state primary (London)?

Just that really. A while ago I put up a (fairly long) thread in primary education asking about various private schools accessible from central Islington. Since then, I've visit d my local state primary (William Tyndale) and am filled with enthusiasm for it.

The only snag is that they won't prepare for the 11+ / common entrance. Is it possible to get into Westminster / Highgate / CLS from a state school?

Sorry, I know it's a how long is a piece of string question. My son is 3 but, although I obviously think he's marvellous, I have no idea how academic he will be.

Does anyone know the kind of questions asked in the interveiw for RGS Guildford?

Agree about the good points.
We were very uncertain where DS would get into, but got him to see the good points of all just in case.
At Emanuel the HM was so kind - when he saw DS pouring me a cup of tea before hand that came up in the interview; at KGS the snack was the best of everywhere; at CLB they were allowed to play football on the roof during the break .

BTW these were points for him of course - he was 9 at the time as he did 10+ so these were his impressions - our decision could therefore be made with these as reminders of how welcoming each school was
