Senior Independent schools with excellent Dyslexia support for my daughter in Berkshire/Surrey

I withdrew my child from Eton End school due to their lack of support for dyslexia. My child appalling behind and they never kept me informed. My child now at Upton House and doing amazingly well. Im struggling to find an appropriate senior school as ones with recognized CReSTeD help such as Pipers Corner and Knowl Hill are too far away.

I have a friend with a son with severe dyslexia and she moved him out of the state system as he was getting very little support and put him into More House school in Farnham. He loves it. Lots of support. It's a boys school only I think so not sure if your child is a boy or girl you don't say. Hope that is some help. It goes up to 18 and very small class sizes I believe.

I'd second More House.

My Son is at More House (fantastic school) and can confirm that it is all Boys.

If there are no Crested schools nearby the Good Schools Guide Special Needs version is a useful guide.

Seaford College ?

Some small independents can be good eg. Manor House in Bookham, but thats prbably the wrong area for you. Have you talked to Farnborough Hill? What schools does the present school recommend?
St Edwards in Oxford does well, the Dragon School sent some of its dyslexic pupils to Bedales.

I have heard of Moon Hall too. It advertises itself as a school preparing dyslexics for GCSE success. Surrey.

My DS is at Moon Hall College. It is a fantastic school - caters for very dyslexic children (students with only mild dyslexia may be better off with extra support in a mainstream setting though). Very small classes. All teachers have or are training for specific qualifications in Dyslexia teaching. There are a number of school mini bus route - most of the students come quite long distances.
