A level Chemistry practicals

hello, my niece is doing Chemistry A level independently, and needs to find somewhere to take her chemistry practical's. I would be grateful if anyone knows of anywhere within London or Kent area which offers this. cheers.

Have a look at the exam board website for the Chemistry A level syllabus that she is taking. There should be a section with information for private candidates including a list of centres where they can take the exams.
I am not sure about the arrangements for practicals though -many private candidates are resit students who already have a "coursework" mark to carry forward.
It used to be possible to take a practical exam for Chemistry but am unsure whether this is still offered. Most centres enter students for Controlled Assessments where the teachers assess the student's work. This can take place during normal lesson time and may be more difficult to arrange.
In my experience FE Colleges are more flexible with accepting external candidates than schools.

It is very difficult to arrange the practical side of A'levels. Is she overseas - if she is the British council may be able to help.

The only place I know that may be able to help is Pembroke College in Wales. It isn't a case of just a Practical exam, although that would have considerable insurance implications. But Practical skills are supposed to be partly evaluated over observing a students practical abilities over time, and a complex assessment.

It looks as if it's still possible to take a Chemistry practical exam OP.
Would Bristol (or Bath) be too far to travel OP as I know a centre(s) there that can offer this. It would involve a 1.5 hour preparation session before the exam (one for AS and one for A2) and then one session for each exam (AS and A2)?

London brookes college in Hendon (North London) does private entries for science practicals. You may want to check they do the exam board/syllabus you need.

Brockenhurst College (Hampshire) are doing OCR Chemistry practical in February. They run a distance learning course. I've been very impressed (enrolled for fast track AS/A2).
