Frensham Heights anyone?

I have a very artistic daughter with a drama scholarship to her current school. Finds maths and science difficult, not sporty at all, loves books and English. Is Frensham Heights worth investigating? Any others you'd recommend. All experience/opinions gratefully received! Thank you so much! :-)

A close friend was there for many years as a head of English dept and loved the place- they'd taught in several independent schools but love the ethos. Definitely worth looking at.

My son has just started, there is sport (quite a bit but not as much as other independent schools) and good results at science, maths etc..
He is a bit quirky, hasn't found school easy in the past but seems to be happy. The lessons seem interesting and well taught as much as I can tell and the whole ethos is SO POSITIVE.

However, there has to be a but, I think it suits the self starter as opposed to a kid who is just going to coast... But maybe all kids are self starters in the right atmosphere!!

Anyway we love it and feel that this is a great move for our son. It is a bit of nightmare to get to, so lots of journeys in the car.

We are thinking of Frensham Heights too - any idea what kind of homework load there is? We are trying to avoid schools who load them down with homework as we really want some balance and good family time? What does your DS get on average Mold1 and which year is he in?

Yr 9, he has moved from a state school and reckons there is less at FH.
The head isn't overly keen on homework as he will explain in his speech at the open day.

I have caught DS1 doing extra work on a subject he is passionate about.

He has a talent, which they recognised and asked him to help teach younger kids. We like that, great for one's self esteem.
