Hello
My daughter has decided that she wants to go to chislehurst rather than darrick wood which is on our road so I'm a bit worried about the journey there for her looking like 2 buses . Does anyone else's daughter do the journey from here to the school ......

She could get the 61 to CHislehurst War Memorial and walk from there (20 mins).
(I think I live in your road Grin)

Do you mean Beaverwood or Bullers Wood for the school?

charleneyxxx · 25/10/2014 10:14

Beaverwood

61 to Chislehurst War Memorial then 160 or 269 to end of Beaverwood Road

Thymeout · 25/10/2014 19:31

I agree with Coolas. Why does your dd want to go to Beaverwood instead of Darrick Wood? I think 11 is too young to be allowed to choose. Darrick Wood has a much better reputation. Why do you think Beaverwood changed its name?

charleneyxxx · 25/10/2014 21:13

She is at an all girls school at present so I understand why beaverwood is more appealing to her and my main thing I liked about it was that it has a grammer streamline , as newstead was my first choice but we just missed the cut off mark and bullerswood catchment is tight , I don't really know of anyone who goes to darrick wood to see whether they are strict on bullying etc and although they have an outstanding off stead it was a few years ago , and I haven really managed to get an insight into the school as that's what counts as I feel most open evenings are preped as I know her current school was , so if anyone has children at secondary at darrick it would be great to know and to be honest I'm not really hearing good things about beaverwood but I do think it's important that the child is also happy with your choice ....
