Does anyone know Upton Court or Langley Grammar?
I'm looking for the school that is the least pressured and has the best pastoral care.
Upton Court takes approx the top 30% and Langley takes approx the top 12%. Philosophically I think the top 30% is better. But because they're so close, and because Langley has the better reputation, is Upton Court missing the top 10%?
Also, at the Langley Open Day they told me my DS would probably be the only white child in his class (everyone else would probably be Asian.) Is this true at Upton Court as well?
We have DSs 11+ results and he would easily qualify for a place at Langley. There is no suggestion that he would struggle academically if he was at Langley.
I spoke to his current SENCO and teacher, and they don't know those schools, but both thought he'd do best in the least pressured environment.
Any thoughts or comments or experiences would be much appreciated
