My DD will be sitting the entrance for Croydon High School very soon. I was wondering if anyone knows how much an academic scholarship is worth there? She will also try for sports/drama/art awards.

10%? 20%?

depends how well she does in the entrance exam.

The local GDST school here (not croydon) has a few 25% scholarships, a couple of girls get offered 35% and there's usually one 50% scholarship each year. Most of the original recipients don't take them up as they tend to accept offers from more academic schools so I don't know if the rejected scholarship money gets redistributed or if it goes towards the following year's awards
