Grammer School vs Independent school Gloucestershire?

Warning: first world problem.

Our DD has to our surprise got into the 3 single sex grammar schools in glos. after taking her 11+.
She is very happy at her current prep school and has only been there since September.
We had been thinking of Cheltenham Ladies College for her at 13+.

If money was no issue which one would you choose?

Ah, OK. I thought that they were more selective than that.

It depends what you are looking for in a school. My daughter went to SHS and academically it is excellent, but what she missed were the "extras", the things which make school bearable! She is now at an independent for 6th Form and is enjoying the drama, the equestrian team, playing polo, swimming, music, the food(!), etc. She was always being told to do less at SHS, whereas now she sees everyone around her doing lots of extra curricular activities and it is positively encouraged and part of the school day. It is such a personal choice and you have to make the best decision you can at the time. Good luck!
