...any recent experiences of this school, please? We are looking at year 7 and year 9 admissions for our 2 DC. A couple of oldish threads don't seem to rate the school that highly but I'd like some more recent opinions if you can help. Tia.

Both of my children are going to the school and I have been more than happy with it. My son is due to go through SGS as well. As a parent, it is the right thing to check out the schools in the area and is what I did as well. There was very mixed reviews, mainly from locals that cannot see beyond their little area and did nothing with the education they received. On the other hand, there has been some raving reviews and I as a parent am more than happy to say the same. I am proud to have my children at SGS. The other day I noticed the Boarding community even has a Facebook Page. I think it was sgsboarding or something of that nature. I was surprised at how many lovely things they do.
