Advice please Kendrick

Hi,
I'm sorry to ask something so silly but I'm confused. My dd is in year 5, she thinks she might like to go to Kendrick.
I understand it is a grammar school and she will need to pass an exam to be able to apply.
Should she be doing the test this year, year 5, so she can apply next year, year 6. Or does the exam and application all happen in year 6?

She will need to do the test next year, just into year 6. You need to start looking now into the detail of the type of test; kendrick is a super selective, so many people tutor extensively for it.
