Sutton grammar SET tests

Just wondering if anyone has heard details of time and place for their DCs yet? I thought they said we would be informed a week before hand.....

They said something similar last year, but in the end we didn't get an email until 3 days before. We also got an afternoon slot which we weren't expecting from the FAQ, as well as being tested in the school furthest away from us.

That said, even though the emails felt a little last minute, the test days themselves were very well organised, and the senior boys at each school were a credit to the school (though I'm guessing they only ask the sensible ones to help!).

Thanks for your good wishes too - yes it's a DD this time and I think TBH WHSG is probably just pie-in-the sky, but felt we has to give it a go! This is the first time we've had the hell of Y6 as DS passed the 10+, but we couldn't find anything comparable for DD so it's 11+ and entrance exams combined this year. Not sure if I'll cope, let alone her

Ds is very happy so far, though on some days looks ridiculously weighed down by kit etc.

I have to say that the school choices seem less obvious for girls in this area for some reason. And yes, 11+ is more of a marathon than 10+ IME, especially with SET and also individual exams for the schools as well. Even if you are only sitting WHSG without it being first choice, it is hard not to feel like you're on a roller coaster!
