Radley housemasters

Hi everyone. We have been offered a place at radley subject to CE for DS2. We now need to meet housemasters and choose a house. Can anyone tell me who are the really good housemasters who have at least 6-8 years to go in post, or the popular houses, and why? I'm looking for insight and emotional intelligence and someone with a modern approach who isn't scared of an intelligent professional mumsnetting working mother, rather than a red-sock wearing hail-fellow-well met chap who appeals to the wife of a Fulham stockbroker...! Any ideas? Would be grateful for all and any thoughts.

I would suggest you speak to admissions and find out who has 6-8 years left to go as that should probably be your primary criteria of those you've listed. I don't think any of the staff are going to be scared of a working mother....

You can then look round 3....if you don't like them keep going through the list until you find one you, or your DS, like. It's like buying a house....you'll just know!

Yes I could just pick a couple to start with effectively blind, based on their bio and time served, and go through them as you suggest. I just wondered whether mumsnet could give me any help as to particularly highly rated ones to start with! Otherwise it is a pretty inefficient process. There must be some considered to be particularly humane or amusing or effective or something, no? Or are you saying they are all identical quality-wise and it is just a matter of matching personalities?
