How much time do Crest Awards take?

My DD is in Y8 and has been asked if she would like to do the Bronze Crest award by her school.
There were only 4 girls in her class invited, so I'm guessing it's a positive thing, but I wondered if anyone could tell me how much time it's going to take.
She is pretty busy already and was exhausted by the end of last year, and I'd like her to have a quieter year if possible.

bronze is about 10 hours of project work but it will depend how the school run it.

My DS did a bronze crest award through the school, but on his own time. I didn't take up a huge amount of time and he was able to choose the project and type of project himself. He made an information booklet on Dark Energy. He enjoyed it and it didn't feel too much on top of his already busy schedule.

Thank you both, that's really helpful. !0 hours isn't too bad.
