PE bags which fit in lockers

I bought dd a nice roomy sports bag from the uniform shop without thinking if it will fit in her school locker.

It doesn't.

Dds done 2 days of year 7 and is worrying as her bag is currently sitting on top of the lockers and she's been told it obviously can't stay there. So I need to buy her a smaller bag quickly.

Any good suggestions? She doesn't have a huge amount of kit - track suit, skort, 2 polo shirts, trainers, hockey socks and shin pads.

I asked about PE bags a week or so ago and some posters suggested a barrel bag, which is what I bought. It fits. Flat in Dd's locker but could easily be squished if necessary.

Where did you buy it bryte?

I got a barrel bag for dd's people kit in sports direct on Saturday for £5.99. No idea if it will fit in her locker yet as they haven't been allocated them yet. (Day 1 today)

PE kit!
She is not trying to stow people away in her locker ffs!

dc's school issue their own PE bags and they are too big to fit in the lockers unless they only have shorts and polo in and can be scrunched up tightly. They are all just left in the tutor rooms on top of or beside the lockers

It depends on the size of the locker, but would a cotton tote type bag work? Paperchase do nice ones. I think they are designed for a4 folders/laptops.

Can she find out what everyone else has? We used boot bags when I was at school, but not sure if track suit would fit in their too.

I got my daughter's PE bag from Amazon - just search PE bags - it cost around £3.50 and has a front pocket which is handy for spare hairbands, gum shields - just fits everything in. Locker space seems to be at a premium, three had to share in Year 7 and after that they get smaller and two share. Do make sure everything is named and labelled with class details!

My DD just uses a draw-string bag and squeezes everything in there. I think we bought it from Brantano when she started y7 (4 years ago).

What does she actually need day to day? (She can't need to wear both polo shirts at once!) My y7 dd3 wears the same PE kit indoors and out - trainers, socks, shorts, polo shirt (I am stingy and have never bought a school tracksuit in my life) and they all fit in a drawstring bag. I imagine she will being it home weekly. DS has different kits for indoor and outdoor, and just takes in what's needed on the day, and brings straight home. He seems able to fit boots, shin pads, socks, shorts & rugby shirt in one large drawstring bag. DD1 had a massive locker and her kit just stayed at school for the entire half term - yuck.
