What are these subjects please?
Ar Bs EG BSPS B C GGE MP Ph BSPS It
This is exactly as the GCSE results were given. Can't ask the pupil (niece) directly. story.
I think the examining body was Edexcel if that helps

Thanks in advance - I'm out of internet contact from tomorrow for a while and I'm worried that I can't see obvious English and Maths results, but convinced that they must be there.

To me Ar = Art, Bs = Business Studies, Ph - Physics and It - IT

B = biology and C = chemistry presumably?

Yes, I was guessing EG to be English and MP to be maths, but if that's the case it's not very obvious is it?

.....and what the heck is BSPS? Several pupils seem to have this twice.

I just googled BSPS Edexcel and got British Show Pony Society? Would that make any sense?

I think the It will be Italian, rather than IT.

could BSPS be biological sciennce physical science - ie some double awards in science? But then then Bio/Phy/Chem doesn't make sense.

What subjects did she do?

I was intrigued by this and googled - the Warrington Guardian lists reams of results under pupils' names with these codes (but no grades). I found the key page though and GGE is Geography with BSPS being a Sports BTEC! www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/news/education/gcse/4570906.GCSE_results_codes/

Thanks so much for all your helpful replies; especially Clavinova for hunting out a key page. At least now I know she got Maths, English and the Sciences, which I'm sure she will have got the grades for to take her through to A Levels. No idea why BSPS appears twice, though she has always been very sporty.

Is it because some btec's are worth multiples of gcse's?
