I'm starting to feel a nervous now about results day. My DS is predicted C's and B's in most of his GCSEs except French which despite working hard for he is predicted a D and ICT which was all coursework and looks like an A.
Good luck to everyone.

4 Cs and 3 Ds here and a distinction in Business which DS wants to continue at college.
He's very disappointed with his D in English - he really doesn't want to have to do it again next year. This was his 2nd go at it already. Oh well, third time lucky maybe.

School are paying for one of his sciences to be remarked as he was one mark away from a B. I would be delighted for him if he did get just one B, but I'm not holding my breath.

Good news here pretty much getting what was predicted (all A* to C)... Got a B (predicted C) in Maths and CC in English. Was predicted BC. His marks are very close to Bs (2 marks and 4 marks). So don't know whether to go for a remark or not as worried about loosing marks/going down. He says C fine! Got what he needed in his A level choice so good there.

Didn't get his A in science though, got B. As he has dyspraxia and his handwriting is very poor I think this may of had an influence on the markers ability to read his answers. School advised not to use laptop in science although he used it for other subjects (except maths).

DD1 got 3 Bs 3 C's and 1 D (in history)

I am proud and happy though I would have loved for her to get a A as she worked so hard but was not to be..

She is happy and having spoken w her teachers it looks likely she can get to do the A levels she wished so from that point of view all is good.

To me it proves once again we were right to move her in year 5 to the smaller school it really turned her around. I just wish I could let Mr B know what a difference he made to her learning. (Sadly he has moved on)

turdfairynomore so pleased for you and your ds. I hope you and the dog have a lovely night's sleep.

My ds missed his predicted by a mile but he will be OK with what he's got. Think I and our dog will sleep better tonight. Part of our rotten year was major problems with my ill health retirement application but I got a letter today to say my pension has been agreed and will be enhanced so we can now afford a celebratory meal out!
