Trying to manage expectations.
DD is 1 ums off the A she needs in Chemistry for her uni course, she had already planned on applying for next year anyway so is taking a gap year.
She is very confident she will get the A. The school have requested all 4 scripts back (she also resat AS) before deciding which to have remarked. I want her to be optimistic but also want to prepare her for the reality of resitting if it comes to that and having to arrange tutoring or a term at college.
She had 3 GCSEs remarked, 2 went up and one stayed the same . DD2 more recently had 2 remarked and both went down slightly. I just wondered if anyone had recent experience of Edexcel remarks. Does the remarker know the actual circumstance ie 1 ums under overall or do they just mark blind?
