Has anyone transferred schools from Rossett in Harrogate to another local school?

I am thinking of changing my daughters school as she is very unhappy. I think it all revolves around friendship issues which we keep thinking will be resolved. But after about 6 months of tears on and off we are thinking about moving her. She meets people out of school (from other schools
Mainly). The girls she does see from her school she says are different out of school and blank her in school and nobody likes her and she has no friends. Has anybody changed schools within Harrogate? She is in year 8.

I don't live in Harrogate, but in the general area.I would say the problem is, where can you move her to?
Aidans, HGS and Fishers will be full.I am assuming you don't want Harrogate High?? Would King James be an option?

I was hoping for year 8 there would maybe some spaces which had appeared over the year from people moving away and not
So many people clamouring for spaces.. I have heard that a lot of Americans have left after leaving menwith Hill. King James would be quite a commute especially as we can see Rossett from where we live. I think we will have to consider all options but it might have to be when the schools go back. Do schools have any communication between themselves when transfers are needed?

There is movement in all three harrogate schools mentioned, but any spare places are filled ver rapidly. You need to get yourself on the waiting list of your preferred school(s), all will be experienced at integrating the odd new student.

Would you fit the religious requirements for Aidan's or John Fisher? If not then HGS is your option I guess. I think a lot of American families have left but don't they tend to have children in private schools, not sure if many places would have come up for that reason? I know pupils have moved from Rossett to HGS so it's definitely a possibility. If she went to a local primary then she will no doubt know lots of people who go to HGS. It's almost impossible to get hold of anyone there during the summer though so you may have to wait until September. Good luck, it's utterly miserable for them if the friend thing is a problem.
