How to stretch DD at home

My Dd is just going into year 8, and absolutely adores anything to do with English and Literacy, and is very good at it. She is forever analising poetry in her spake time or reading, but is there anything more I could do to stretch her at home?

Provide good quality newspapers for her to read or you can get some online and talk about the issues together.

Live poetry readings? Any slams near by?

Worth finding out if there are any book clubs for younger people at your bookshops or library. The Guardian do an online teen book club that looks quite good.

Does she like to enter competitions?

Sort of competition she could aim for.
