Dear all,

My DD is starting Year 11 this coming September. What where the main issues parents experienced? As DD is already fretting.

Many thanks

What's she fretting about? Revising? What to do after GCSEs? Day to day it's pretty much the same as years 7 to 10 so try and define exactly what is worrying her.

I found with my son that Year 11 was less stressful than Year 10. They pushed them quite hard up to end of year exams in Year 10 but as Year 11 started it seemed that although there was obviously lots of work, they were more acclimatised to it. By mocks it really wasn't too bad.

I'm concerned re the number of CAs. I'm thinking DD1 has 7 to go for MFLs, at least 1 for English Lit, 1 more for science, plus Drama which is all coursework/CA.

At least by Easter she should have marks in the bag for all but 2 of her GCSEs....

When do they tend to have finished syllabuses by?
