Wellington College Year 9 Entry

How difficult is it to get into Wellington College? There seems to be so many different opinions on this matter. I have been told by some that it is virtually impossible and that children need an IQ of 130 and above. What type of child will thrive at this school? Looking for some feedback ...

The ones I've known who have gone there are bright but not ultra so, independent and hardworking. Very much an all-rounded sort of experience from what I can gather.

Agree with LIZS. You don't need to be super brainy to go there. I would suggest a robust child who likes to get involved will do well there. It's weekly boarding.
