Sister's blazer or new one?

The blazer is still in very good condition. Is it bad parenting not to buy a new one for a proud year7?

ds 3 went wearing the one I had bought for ds1 4 years earlier - I ran the second hand uniform shop and tons of parents bought old blazers every year at the Y7 taster day. Why fork out when you don't have to?

Good parenting is putting aside the money you've saved. Excellent dd1 keeping her blazer in such good condition.

When I was at school it was always rather cool to have your sister's hand-me-down blazer. (Long time ago, admittedly )

Good parenting Verycold, you taught big sister to look after clothes so that little sister can still wear. Proud year 7 can still have something new, bag maybe?

My younger child is be super proud to wear its older sibling's itmes - as long as they are not run down.

As long as it looks OK then I can't see the problem.

At DS school the "done" thing is to pull off the middle button of the blazer. First years are told this in their first week.

I got a hand me up, my younger sister was bigger than me, so she got a new one each year and I had to have her old one!
