Ds has been in prep for the last 2 years of education (years 5 and 6) after previously being a state primary. He never enjoyed school much at his state primary but took to his prep school like a duck to water and now loves school. We are now looking at putting him back into the state system as our financial situation has changed and would be a real struggle for the next couple of years at least to put him in private secondary. Has anyone gone from prep to comprehensive (academy)? What problems have you had? Did they settle easily back in the state system?
