Sickness during A level

Apologies I'm new to Mumsnet so not sure if I'm doing this right. My son sat his A level Physics paper this afternoon. He is predicted an A star. This morning he felt like he had a cold. I suspected it was hayfever and he used Beconase. When the symptoms didn't improve I gave him an antihistamine tablet. He went off to his exam not feeling great. During the exam, he felt terrible. His nose was running constantly, his eyes were itchy and he felt completely distracted. Is there anything we can do? He has worked so hard and is devastated. I would be grateful for any advice. Many thanks.

Contact the school's exams officer tomorrow, it's not an unusual situation. You may be asked to visit GP ASAP to get a medical certificate.

You need to get a doctors letter, preferably dated today and send it into the school in the morning.

Sorry just realised the time! Probably too late for that piece of advice!
