3 exams, same exam board on same day - how?

Friend's DS had 3 exams today, 2 completely overlapped so they had to be escorted and were in exams til 6. Same exam board, no unusual subjects. How can that happen? Seems really unfair.

It'll only get worse now courses are all linear.

Tough if it happens, but not uncommon. I would've thought there was a better way.

DD had loads of exams in the two weeks before half term. Yet only one this week. And loads again next week. Seems daft.

If only they had given me the timetable to sort ..........

If you go to the Exam board websites you can download the full timetables : having done so back in March, I was pretty impressed by how well they are coordinated actually

I know it 's always happened, even when I was at school and one of my DCs had 2 clash - but different exam boards. Was just a bit taken aback that same board had 3 very normal subjects on same day with 2 at same time.
