Hi, I have a 15 year old daughter just diagnosed with Inattentive ADHD without the hyperactivity so ADD apparently.

Have argued with school telling me she is fine for years altho her school work is awful. Got private assessment and all's become very clear.

Can anyone tell me what meds they have for their child and if its worked or made things worse.

Feeling very confused and low!

You might be better off reposting this to the special needs children board. Lots of parents there have children with similar issues.

I think one of the primary meds is Ritalin:

DS2 has ADHD and Asperger's. He is 12, in a mainstream school. He has been taking methylphenidate since he was eight. The difference is dramatic. The medication has enabled him to function at school, learn, make friends, join a choir, learn the clarinet and gain increased independence.
