Because you knew her before your children were at the school where she works, and before she actually worked at that school. And then a load of photos appeared of her and some of other members of the department dressed up for a Eurovision party... and she was dressed in the colours of the German flag, and had drawn a Hitler moustache on her face.

Would you send her a tactful private message to suggest she didn't post that? Or would you do something else? Or nothing?

Cheers!

I'd do nothing unless she was a good friend. If she was a good friend, I'd tell her I thought it was a bit tasteless. If not, it is nothing to do with her being a teacher at your child's school, it's her private life, and whilst not something I'd applaud, I don't see that it has anything to do with her working in your DC's school.

I see what you mean merry - I guess it just means I'm more likely to notice it and think about it than if it was someone I went to school with years ago or something..

Notice it by all means, but I don't think it's your business to comment.

If she is a true friend you might want to suggest she reviews her privacy settings and friends list.

purpleroses · 13/05/2014 21:38

Can you really say it was a Hitler mustache rather than a German one? Of she was at a Eurovision party then wearing the German flag is hardly inappropriate.

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 13/05/2014 21:39

Well, you know, I'm not trying to make a problem. I'm just kind of thinking how stuff looks to people and the ramifications it can have.

What's a 'German moustache' though?

There's no mistaking a Hitler moustache Confused

She's being a bit dense having those pics on her profile.

Martorana · 13/05/2014 23:46

I would sen a tactful private message. Or, probably, a less than tactful one.

It's a stupid thing to do, and she's lucky it was you saw it, rather than someone who would have more trouble for her.

What, by the way, is a German moustache?

Stripeyhenry · 13/05/2014 23:51

It's a pretty stupid thing to do and anyway, Hitler was Austrian so it displays even more ignorance
