YAY. I've been on a few threads about secondary school appeals and waiting lists. So I'd thought I'd share that DD got her first choice school offer today! so happy.

Congratulations! Where did she start on the waiting list and how big a school is it?

Well at the risk of outing her and me, it's a hugely oversubscribed large school but they have an unusual admissions system which means that even though she was at the top of the list in her "band" there were only about 15 kids whose turning a place down could give her it to her.. iyswim
