Has anyone's child moved from Bromley High School Junior to Newstead Woods for senior in the last few years?

If so - could you share your experiences (either on this thread or pm me)? I am just wondering how it has worked out in terms of leaving a school where they could have continued on and so leaving a lot of their friends behind and also being in a state school after a private school? I'd be really grateful to hear of any experiences as we're thinking of sending our dd to BHS but don't want to close of the NW door or find that we create huge problems for us/dd by not sending here to a prep rather than an all-through school.

A bit of a bump as I'm now wondering if a move this way just doesn't happen?

Hi, our DD is at Newstead having come from an private school with the option of moving up to the seniors. We really liked Newstead on the open day and have found that our DD quickly settled in well and made lots of new friends. The girls at Newstead come from a variety of junior schools state and private and personally I think the mix is a good thing. Just a personal opinion but we are very happy with Newstead.
