Appealing for other refused schools - advice, please

We have just survived our group appeal meeting in which the panel upheld the LA's claim of prejudice. So, onto the individual meetings with trepidation. Meanwhile, we have been advised that it is not too late to submit an appeal for our other 2 preferred schools. This I will do but feel slightly like an imposter as our case is tailored to our 1st choice school. Please can someone reassure me that this is in order and how to approach our statements? Thanks.

You can appeal for any school that you want. What you need to do is re-engineer your admission appeal for the 2nd and 3rd schools - they will need to be on separate forms anyway so there is no problem.
Look for reasons that the 2nd and 3rd preference schools stand out for your child and concentrate on that in the appeal.

Yes just change what you have written. My friend is appealing for 6 schools and has basically the same just with different bits for each school.

And double-check that you have the correct school's name on each form. Otherwise the panel will be less than persuaded by your arguments that this is the only school for your child if another school's name is on the paperwork.

Thank you all so much, very grateful. I will use the first submission as a template and change (and check accordingly). What happens if the same panel members appear for two different schools - will they not question our desires?

In my authority it is unlikely that all panel members are the same. If one has heard you before they should only go on what is said at the current appeal, not what you have said at other appeals.
