School admissions appeal - grounds advice please

We have already filed our secondary school appeal and have solely focussed on my daughter, why the school is the best choice for her, how she can contribute to the school and why it won't affect the outcomes for the other children where she given a place at the school etc.

From chats with other parents, I am aware that some are getting supporting letters from the parents of their children's friends focussing on friendship groups etc. Is this worth doing?

I was under the impression that additional grounds like breaking up friendship groups wouldn't be considered? If it is then obviously I would like the opportunity to submit it.

Also, would a supporting letter from a teacher be considered? (I am assuming not, but would like to clarify). thank you!

Unless she has a documented need (by a professional - consultant or counsellor for example) saying why she NEEDS to stay with her friendship group this is not something the appeal panel can consider.

They also cannot consider what she can offer the school or how well behaved, quiet, so small you'd never notice her she is. It has to be what that school and only that school can offer her that she needs.

I think these ideas come under the heading, throw everything you have at the appeal panel and hope something registers. Unfortunately, given the lengths some will have gone to to get these extras, they will really have no weight at an appeal (or should not do if the panel follow the rules). The panel will accept every document that is given to them, they have to under the rules but that does not mean that the panel will make decisions based on them.
