Does anyone know of any very good, small, non-selective all girls boarding school or not too much competition to get in it also has to be within 2 hours of Cambridge, 1 hour of Derby or in London.

Long criteria I realise but Mumsnet always has a way!

Heathfield, Ascot, Berkshire. Queenswood, Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Probably no competition to get into either, but results are very good at both, especially Queenswood. PM me if you want to know more.

Thank you I will look at them all!

St Mary's in Cambridge is selective, but they take a wide range of abilities if that would be any good.

Biscuitsneeded · 14/04/2014 19:21

I don't think St Mary's Cambridge is very selective!

derbyshirebound999 · 14/04/2014 19:41

We have looked there but it's just not what we are looking for... I'm not sure what it is but the girls don't feel happy:(

ST Christopher's Letchlade - not a girls school but is different?

MillyMollyMama · 15/04/2014 09:33

I think St Christopher's is Letchworth, isn't it? Quite different to Queenswood and Heathfield though!!!

mummytime · 15/04/2014 10:49

Sorry Letchworth, yes it is very different - but the OP didn't say she wanted Queenswood or Heathfield. Looking at it might also help find what she doesn't want or she could fall in love.

Tudor Hall in Banbury?

Biscuitsneeded · 16/04/2014 00:28

Not sure if this fits your criteria but Kent College Pembury - not far from London...

MillyMollyMama · 17/04/2014 16:54

St Christopers is different because it is co-ed!!! Not an all girls boarding school.
