Changing schools at the end of yr12?

How does it work if they do different exam boards?

Is there any degree of transferability of AS Levels between boards; ie your OCR AS could count 40% towards your AQA A Level?

Or - if this happens - do you just have to take all the (in this case AQA) exams and coursework assessments in a single year yr13, or alternatively re-sit yr12?

Everyone I know who has done this has resat Yr12.

But they all changed due to problems with the school/subjects so didn't really have anything worth transferring.

You can't transfer between exam boards, not sure if you can transfer between schools even.

What is the reason for the change?

Yes, you can transfer between schools, and yes, you can transfer modules if you change boards between As and A2 but for certain subjects the content and approach differs too much. The exams officer in the new school has to request the transfer of marks from the AS modules, but yes, it can be done.
