Appeal - failure at stage 1

Zingy123 · 09/04/2014 22:13

I am appealing for my daughter for 1st choice school.

I believe they have given places incorrectly from the waiting list denying us a place. Do I put this in my appeal document, contact the school now or raise it on the day of the appeal?

If they don't agree with me would this influence their decision on stage 2?

Thanks

Put it in your appeal document. You should also raise your concerns with the admission authority (the school if it is an academy, VA school or free school, the LA otherwise). If they admit a mistake has been made they should offer a place without needing an appeal.

The panel's decision on stage 2 will not be affected by whether or not they agree that the waiting list has been administered incorrectly.

Thanks. I was worried it might look like I was saying they couldn't do their job.
