Any help would be much appreciated. We have been home schooling our 15 year old DS for around a year, after taking him out of his private school following bullying and a surprise diagnosis of ASD ( no indications of this until secondary school). We would like him to go back into a school/college environment this autumn but cannot see him fitting in anywhere. He is very bright and quite academic, but is completely awkward in social situations, particularly with his peers. He has recently had a further diagnosis suggesting his main problem is pragmatic language disorder - he can come across as quite rude and sometimes quite difficult, though he is basically a good, hard-working child. We are in the south east but would consider moving to find the right place for him. He should be going into Yr 11 this September though is doing some gcses this year.
