Ok. DS1 has broken up for Easter and we now have to all accept that this is it. He has been doing dribs and drabs since mocks in February and an hour- ish in the evenings of stuff set by teachers.

Nowhere near what I remember doing for my o'levels a million miles ago. Friends tell me their kids are doing nothing yet. Not sure I believe them though!

Waiting for reality to kick in with him but he still seems to be treating it all like an end of topic test in class!

What's happening in your house? Are you staying well out of it or like me walking round waving a CGP guide 24/7!!!!!

dd did a bit of history tonight but tbh I think she's too tired to do more. We'll have to stand or fall on the very hard work she's put in all year. I hope she likes the paper tomorrow.
She was a bit frazzled tonight really. This is just so hard, so many subjects, such a lot of uncertainty. BLOODY GOVE!

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 21/05/2014 23:35

Tomorrow is DS's 'worst day.' He hates English Lit and he finds Geography hard. He's looking forward to after half term when it's all triple science and maths. Grin

Nocomet · 21/05/2014 23:46

DD1 is awsumly calm, went swanning off to a talk with DH this evening.

Hmm hope she does actually know her geography. I'm sure she does know the lit. She did a lot of about a boy when she felt ill as it was fairly easy rereading.

Drama on Friday, or according to DD a sodding spelling test.

RaspberryLemonPavlova · 22/05/2014 00:18

DS had Geology today, a computer based exam. He came back least happy of his exams so far, which is a shame as its one of his A level choices.

Geography tomorrow then breathing space until after half term.

nostress · 22/05/2014 07:23

Whats the exam board for geology? Or is it part of geography?

MrsMaturin · 22/05/2014 07:43

Poetry today then history and flipping textiles tomorrow. Dd seems more cheery today thank goodness.

snozzlemaid · 22/05/2014 07:55

Eng lit poetry today and then History tomorrow. Ds is exhausted. At least he has less exams each week after half term.

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 22/05/2014 08:20

Yeah, DS is halfway through his exams after today, 11 down, 11 to go. The last 11 start tomorrow then continue for 3 1/2 weeks after half term. The first 11 in 8 school days!

mumthetaxidriver · 22/05/2014 08:32

DS at school at 7.30 for breakfast - he really looking forward to Geography which is his best paper of favourite subject. As for English Lit his least favourite this afternoon - he is planning on fitting in a bit of revision some time between the two!

MorvahRising · 22/05/2014 09:02

Geography and Eng Lit here too.

Let's hope the invigilator's phone doesn't ring again today . . . . .

LeapingOverTheWall · 22/05/2014 09:04

EllenJanes - we can beat that - 13 in 7 school days! Or 15 in 9. After half term DD is left with three sciences, 2 maths and FT, everything has been packed in to these two weeks which is a bit ridiculous.

MissScatterbrain · 22/05/2014 09:08

Eng Lit poetry and Geography here as well.

By tomorrow lunchtime, it will be 15 in 9 days for us with 8 more to go after a two weeks' break. Crazy.

pigsinmud · 22/05/2014 10:34

Same as snozzle - poetry today and history tomorrow. He's full of cold so went off in a grumpy mood. Sent him in with paracetamol with caffeine to perk him up at lunchtime.
I'm planning his birthday which is in half term. Unfortunately dh & I messed up with planning children (as in we didn't!) 3 of the 4 will have their birthdays slap bang in exam season! Trying to decide whether to give him Elder Scrolls Online on his birthday or hang back until then end of the exams! Mind you the worst is over by half term.

Needmoresleep · 22/05/2014 10:42

Same here. English and history. Both tough subjects but Dd claims neither can be revised for.

MissScatterbrain · 22/05/2014 10:50

Had that claim as well for the poetry Hmm

MorvahRising · 22/05/2014 11:00

Mean mother here. A parcel that DS has been waiting for for ages has finally arrived, but I'm not going to give it to him til tomorrow . . . . it's something computery and he'll get distracted when he's meant to be revising history.

Luckily it's not in track and trace . . .

pigsinmud · 22/05/2014 11:12

I don't think that's mean Morvah - it's sensible! It also means he can enjoy it more as he won't have that I should be revising history feeling hanging over him.

hellsbells99 · 22/05/2014 12:38

Just had a text from DD2 - Geography was better than last week's paper which she thought was awful
Wjec English Lit this afternoon.

MissScatterbrain · 22/05/2014 12:57

That's good hells - was it OCR?

Agree that Morvah is being sensible.

MorvahRising · 22/05/2014 13:04

Oh good, I'm glad you don't think I'm mean! Good point about enjoying it more tomorrow, schilke

Haven't heard anything about the geography yet! Not sure whether to agonise more about the Eng lit in half an hour or the fact that I have to produce 5000 words by tomorrow and have been putting it off for weeks. I can see where DS gets it from!

hellsbells99 · 22/05/2014 13:31

Think it was AQA for DD's geography.

Nocomet · 22/05/2014 15:09

I've just stupidly gone and counted. And DD will have done 6 before HT with 11 after. So nothing like 1/2 way here, although, of the sciences only physics will cause her a moments concern. RE she has done a lot already. Music listening is just crossed fingers, maths is what she ought to practice and the teacher will ensure they do.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/05/2014 15:23

I'd wait schilke - giving it to him half way through the exams is cruel! It will be calling to him constantly.....

Fatmanbuttsam · 22/05/2014 15:30

15 down, history tomorrow and then only 5 after midterm ....the maths and sciences.
Dd had a better day today....geography was good and she liked the unseen poem and the question.....phew....a bit less tense in the house so hopefully no cake making tonight.....I will need to run a marathon to use up all the calories she is baking.

littlewhitebag · 22/05/2014 15:31

English lit done. It went well but it is DD's favourite subject so I expected that. History and Latin tomorrow. Then a lovely break.
