I'm ashamed to say I didn't do any Blush, but I want DDs to be different, so how do your kids revise? Reading through school books, internet, those CGP books?

They are both doing ok, but need to brush up for upcoming tests.

It depends which subject.

Maths: doing questions from the revision section of the textbook

MFL/Latin: testing themselves on vocabulary

Science: questions from old KS3 papers

History: mind-maps with causes & effects

Geography & RS: nothing

Geography - writing out cue cards with facts and diagrams on, mind maps of different topics

Maths - doing old NCT papers at the relevant level (available on emaths.org.uk)

BBC bitesize has lots of resources for KS3 revision of Maths, English and Science.

Best way of revising maths is doing it. The amount of kids who think staring at their maths books is somehow going to help them improve!

Of course if they do maths, it's then utterly useless unless they then check the answers. And if they have got it wrong, they then have to try to figure out their mistake, then try some more questions.

The mymaths website is pretty good for revision with its booster packs.
