DD(12) and her friend were asking me the other day if it was illegal not to vote. I said it wasn't but that it should be illegal to vote for something you don't understand.
It got me to thinking about how we educate the next generation of voters to use their vote wisely. So I thought about taking DD and some friends up to the House of Parliament for a tour etc.
When I was looking at their website I found some excellent teaching resources for lessons about how parliament and elections work. With the general election coming up next year, I would love DD to do something like this. So I'm sharing the link in the hope that her teacher is on here.
