gcse options

My son wants to take Art,Resistant Materials,Sport and German for his options. I am concerned about the Art And RM together because of course
work. Has anyone taken these together and your views please?

One of mine is doing art and resistant materials as 2 of his options, there is a lot of coursework, but the key to that is keeping on top of it. He has been going to after school sessions for them both regularly during all of y10, and y11 to date. He enjoys them both, and seems happy to do the work needed.

Heck if a lot of coursework .....

Does you child have/aspire to outside interests eg d of e ? If so maybe ask the teachers to pair him with a year 11 doing that combo of subjects to talk about the realities.

Eldest did art. It was horrible for us all - she is a perfectionist and we should have known it would take excessive amounts of time, make her miserable and give her one of her lower (and she felt hard done by) grades - even though that was still an A.

As with hobnobs DC after school and even " the art room will be staffed on Sunday" featured....

Just a thought. There is no humanity subject here. Is that a good idea?
