I am looking at moving to Windsor area and need a good secondary school for DD. Has anyone got views on Windsor Girls school. Ofsted report is outstanding but I can see from previous posts it hasn't been so good in the past. Any other recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

My dd left 2 years ago, she hated it, the sport is rubbish, teachers couldn't control the class (she was set 1/2), teachers didnt come continually, the classrooms were dirty. I have no idea how they got outstanding, they used to send the disruptive kids away
Maybe try and move into the charters catchment?

Charters is an excellent school or Slough/South Bucks are in the grammar school system if that's what you could be after.

Just so your aware- it's not a secondary, they start at year 9 so if your dd is younger then it's a middle school you're after.

My experience of WGS is completely different. Excellent exam results, teachers that can and do control the classes, wonderful extra-curricular opportunities for the girls. Over 2/3 of Year 11 stay into the Sixth Form and do very well.
